Application guidelines

28/08/2009 //

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Baku has a small fund from which it supports different projects in fields such as human rights, democratisation, women's issues, the environment, health and more. In most cases, the size of the grants ranges from approx. USD 1,000 to USD 20,000. Still, it should be emphasised that competition for the grants is fierce. To obtain a grant from the Embassy's Small Grant Programme, you will need to prepare a project proposal. This proposal must

  • describe your organisation and explain why it is well suited to carry out the proposed project
  • explain the nature of the problem which you seek to alleviate
  • describe how your project will work in detail and how it will address and alleviate the problem
  • if relevant, explain how the project or at least its likely successes will be sustained after the termination of financial support from the embassy
  • outline a time frame for the implementation of the project
  • provide a detailed budget, which shows the expenses you expect to incur and how you plan to cover them

NB: Due to the high number of applications, only successful applicants will be notified.
